Innovators Garage co-organized the nationwide startup competition, whose winners get a chance to win $1M in Silicon Valley
Innovators Garage is an Islamabad-based organization co-founded by Imran Jattala with a mission to strengthen Pakistan´s innovation ecosystem. The graduate of the 2021 DEEP Startup Ecosystem Accelerator seeks to build a $500B innovation economy and make Pakistan a top-50 Innovative Nation by 2030.
Together with the Pakistan National Investor Board and Air University Islamabad, Innovators Garage ran a nation-wide competition with over 200 participating startups. The 12 shortlisted finalists pitched their businesses in front of an expert jury on 18 August 2022 in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The vision of the Startup World Cup is to promote disruptive startups that are impact-centered, profit-minded, and market-driven. In a pitch competition among 12 shortlisted companies, the edtech startup Orbit-Ed was selected as Pakistan´s 2022 national winner. The founding team will get to compete at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale event in San Francisco, USA, on 30 September 2022 – with a chance to win a US $1,000,000 investment prize.
The global initiative Startup World Cup brings together top startups, VCs, entrepreneurs, and world-class tech CEOs. It is partnering with some of the world’s largest conferences and tech events to host 70+ regional startup competitions for North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia.
The co-organizer of the Pakistani edition of the Startup World Cup, Innovators Garage is a graduate of the 2021 cohort of the DEEP Startup Ecosystem Accelerator.
Pakistan – a $500 Billion Innovation Economy by 2030
